We took the Jeep Grand Cherokee L 2021 on and off-road, drove a lap in the Audi RS 6 Avant 2021 and an R34 Nissan GT-R is up for auction. It’s the week in reverse, right here at Motor Authority.
The three-row Jeep Grand Cherokee L 2021 is here. We put the family tractor to the test both on the road and off-road to see if the longer length, the seven seats and the new platform made the SUV less powerful. Spoiler: A little, but not that important. While we’ve scraped off an underride protection plate or two, the Grand Cherokee L as a family hauler is very powerful and luxurious in Overland and Summit equipment.
Jay Leno set a world record with a quarter mile ET of 9.247 seconds at 152.09 mph. The deed was carried out in a Tesla Model S plaid from the Silicon Valley automaker. That makes the electric hatchback faster than the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon and Bugatti Chiron Sport.
We got behind the wheel of the Audi RS 6 Avant 2021 and realized that it is not just an enthusiast’s dream, but that it appeals to people of all ages. The fire-breathing twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 delivers brute force when accelerating, but the adaptive dampers just can’t hide the weight of this car around a corner. Nevertheless, we would prefer it to its RS 7 hatchback sibling.
Ferrari confirmed that a new supercar will be unveiled on June 24th. Expected to be a mid-engine design with a twin-turbo V-8 hybrid powertrain, the automaker said the vehicle will definitely be fun. The peak performance is expected with 700 hp and the latest super sports car is to be positioned as a (somewhat) more accessible mid-engine Ferrari below the F8 Tributo.
A 1999 R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec is for sale on Bring A Trailer. The car is one of 282 copies painted in Midnight Purple II and was imported into the USA under the NHTSA’s show or display rules. This limits the buyer of this GT-R to 2,500 miles per year and requires an exhibition or exhibition permit from the NHTSA.
